Henry's Fish Joint

One of the highlights of this year's holidays on Georgian Bay was the few days we spent at Henry's Fish Restaurant. This spot is located about 40 miles north of Honey Harbour on Frying Pan Island. The local area is known as 'Sans Souci', which means 'without care' en Francais.

The restaurant is only accessible by water, so everyone shows up by boat & float plane. It is situated right along the small craft route, so one can see lots of boats coming & going, but they're far off enough that they don't cause a real disturbance. All in all, a beautiful spot & we will definitely be going back there again.

This view is looking down from the restaurant at some of the slips. They can fit about 50 boats here and also sell fuel . Gas here was - sit down for this one - $1.80 a litre. If you think that's bad, there's a place to buy gas right around the corner (Le Blancs) from here and their price was $1.90 a litre!

Here's a panning video shot from Henry's;

Hog Wild

The Harbour Master got a new toy - an early retirement present from the lovely Martha of The Row. Ya, Dave showed up this past Friday for me to get a picture to share with you all.

Too bad Dave, but I'm not showing a picture. Instead, I've got a video!!! HA!

While I'm at it, I also have a video clip of Sanja's new toy. It's her new Sea Ray & that thing turns on dime ;-)

Here she is taking 'SunAria' out during one of her lessons;

The Big City

Hey folks, the Dock Crocs have set a rendezvous point for the Labour Day long weekend. It's gonna be at Lagoon City. If any of you would like to attend, give them a shout to book a slip.

This will probably be the last weekend for us all to get together on the water for 2008, so I hope to see you all try to make it out????????????????????????

If we get the same response as all the rest of the summer, I'm sure there will be lots of available slips up there :-(

PS - Dave, I'll do my best to get your new toy posted up this week.

And I need a '10' for the countdown ;-)

We're Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack

Boogaboo has safely returned from our latest adventure. From navigating the beautiful & rocky routes of Georgian Bay;

. . . . to 'dinky-ing' around Frying Pan Island in Sans Souci;
. . . . to spending days & nights 'on the hook' in Beausoleil Bay with both old & new friends (and a really old boat);

. . . . to walking with Anchor Girl along a gorgeous sandy beach on Beckwith Island;

. . . . we sure made some great memories up on Georgian Bay!

As you can imagine, we've got lots-o-pics + vids and fun stories from the whole thing & I hope to be sharing many more with you as time allows. Heck, maybe we might even hear from some of the other folks who we met along the way??????????
